Iowa State Cyclones suffer a demoralizing 39-3 loss to Arizona Wildcats, fueling a quarterback controversy as Jaylen Raynor is benched for Connor Moberly after a costly mistake. With the run game falling flat and offensive struggles mounting, the Cyclones’ streak of 100+ yard rushing games comes to an abrupt end, raising tough questions about Jimmy Rogers’ approach and the team’s future direction. The conversation focused on Iowa State’s defensive breakdowns, highlighted by surrendering 308 passing yards to Noah Fafita and big plays from Arizona’s receiving corps. A key theme that emerged was the growing frustration among fans, with some calling for Rogers’ dismissal after just one challenging season riddled with injuries and top-25 opponents. Can the Cyclones rebound against the high-scoring Oklahoma State Cowboys, or is a bigger reset looming in Ames?
