Iowa State Cyclones face a turning point as first-year head coach Jimmy Rogers guides the team to a 3-3 start. Can Rogers reshape the Cyclones’ identity and overcome midseason doubts after replacing long-time leader Matt Campbell? Questions swirl around the team’s culture shift, defensive inconsistencies on third downs, and whether Iowa State can pull off major upsets in the Big 12 down the stretch. Nick Marovets outlines the Cyclones’ toughest tests ahead, breaks down their offensive survival strategies, and considers what it will take to shock opponents like Oklahoma State, Arizona, and Baylor. He examines the roster transitions, locker room energy, and the possibility of a late-season surge—even as conference title hopes fade. With key road matchups looming and fan expectations high, will Iowa State silence critics and end the year strong?
